Norman J. Schilling, 69, of Baltic died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Aultman Hospital.
Born March 5, 1947 in Beach City he was a son of the late Curtis and Dorothy Graef Schilling. Norman was also preceded in death by an infant sister and brothers, Ted and Bruce Schilling.
Norman proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He was a member of the Baltic American Legion and was a life member of the Baltic Conservation Club. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, along with, hunting and fishing.
A wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather, Norman will be sadly missed by his wife of 44 years, Renee Bailey Schilling whom he married on May 13, 1972; children, Jim (Lois) Schilling, Carisa Schilling, Sara (James) Kivett all of Baltic; sisters, Elaine (Roger) Shelt of Strasburg, Rita (Larry) Haney of Uhrichsville; brother, Roy (Barb) Schilling of Ragersville; grandchildren, Abbey, Piper, Camden, Kaden Schilling and former sister in law, Janice Schilling of Sugarcreek.
A celebration of Norman's life will be held on Sunday, February 5th at 3:00 pm in the Smith Community Center (formerly the Baltic American Legion) at Baltic. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
