Olen H. Loveday, 92, of Dover died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Union Hospital.
Born March 24, 1916 in Goshen he was a son of the late John and Geraldine Walton Loveday. His wife, Helen M. Loveday who died on May 4, 2001, and three brothers, Norman, Harry and Robert Loveday, also preceded him in death.
He was a professional truck driver for Motor Freight. The highlight of his career was in 1962 when he was named runner up of the Annual Professional Drivers Trophy for Motor Freight.
Olen was an Army veteran of WW II and a life member of the Dover VFW. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors especially mowing his yard.
He is survived by his sister in law, Thelma Loveday and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Chip Kohser officiating. Interment will be in the Stone Creek Cemetery where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends can call in the funeral home one-hour prior to the service on Saturday.
