Olga Oddi, 92, of Dover, Ohio died Friday, February 3, 2006 in the Hennis Care Centre at Bolivar following an extended illness.
During World War II, she was employed by the Standard Oil Company in Dover and had previously worked at the former Sadiron.
Born October 1, 1913 in Faeto, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette Campanella Iannelli.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover and loved cooking and gardening.
Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Oddi who died February 26, 1990. They were married on December 27, 1928. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Joe Oddi, two sisters, Alice and Jenny and a brother, Carmen Iannelli.
She is survived by two daughters, Florence (Byron) Ball and Antoinette (William) English both of Dover; five grandchildren, David Ball, Joseph (Jean) Ball, Cathy Harper, Christine (Chris) Helbling, and Dan English all of Dover; six great grandchildren Michael Ball of Columbus, Angela and Marissa Ball of Dover, Sara and David Helbling of Dover and Gina Harper of Dover; two sisters and a brother, Theresa Doriche of Dover, Mary Forsyth of Anaheim, California and Agostino Iannelli of Columbus.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 10:30am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday from 9-10am.
