Oliva F. Ruszin, 80, of Dover died Monday, October 19, 2015 in the Park Village Health Care Center following a 12 year journey with Alzheimer's disease.
Born February 25, 1935 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Virginio and Theora Stauffer Amistadi. Oliva was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Ruszin on May 27, 1998; sister and brother in law, Nancy (Dave) DeVore and a special niece, Angela Kirkman.
Oliva had worked at Warther Auto Electric and eventually retired from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. She was also a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Dover.
Oliva will be sadly missed by her children, Roxanne (Mike) Griffin of Dover and Andrew (Carol) Ruszin III of New Philadelphia; sister, Virginia (Gene) Kirkman of NM and brother, Gino (Mary) Amistadi of Dover; grandson, Nathan (Katie) Griffin; special niece, Kris Connor; great niece, Grace Connor; three step grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Following the burial, a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
