Olive M. Luyster

Olive M. Luyster, 87, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, January 21, 2003 in Union Hospital.

Born June 6, 1915 in Belmont County, she was daughter of the late William and Anna Johnson Milliken.

Olive was an avid reader. She also enjoyed being outdoors watching and feeding “her” birds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Luyster, who died September 18, 1980.

Survivors include: three daughters; Joann Rollins of Uhrichsville, Patricia Hupp of Dover and Cathy (Bob) Spears of New Philadelphia, nine grandchildren; Debbie Crabtree, Tammy Stull, Tracie Rollins, Amber Hupp, Belinda Byrd, Angie Biddle, Brian Hupp, Tonya Spears, Travis Spears, six great grandchildren, including special great granddaughter Beth Lucas, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John C. Luyster, Jr., three brothers and two sisters.

Due to renovations at Toland-Herzig�(TM)s New Philadelphia location, funeral services will be held Friday, January 24, at 1:30pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Steven Court officiating. Interment will be in the Greenmont Union Cemetery at Freeport. Friends may call in the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8pm.
