Ora N. Baker, 91, of Gnadenhutten died Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at Twin City Hospital following a brief illness.
He retired from Republic Steel in Massillon after 20 years of service.
Born February 5, 1911 in Canton he was a son of the late Joseph and Cenora Sponseller Baker
He enjoyed going to church and attended many different churches in the area. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica, gardening and riding his bicycle.
Ora was preceded in death by his first wife Lucy Baker, second wife Erma Baker, third wife Helen Baker and is survived by his fourth wife Lucille Baker.
He is also survived by six sons: Bob (Delores) Baker of Rock Hill, South Carolina
David Baker of Massillon
Joe (Cheryl) Baker of New Philadelphia
Jim Baker of Akron
Bill Baker of Grove City
Don Stillwell of Grove City
Daughter: Carol (Elza) Osburn of San Diego, California
Eight grandchildren: Jason, Jeremy, Margaret, Judy, Bobby, Eddie, Lori and Judy
15 great grandchildren
He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter and brother
Two sons: Ora Paul and John Baker
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Mike Seely officiating. Interment will be in the Melscheimer Cemetery at East Sparta. Friends can call at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
