Orville L. Dickerson Jr.

Orville L. Dickerson Jr., 58, of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on March 10, 1964, he was the son of the late Orville L. Sr. and Joyce Ann (Diehl) Dickerson. He graduated from Jewett Scio High School with the class of 1982. He retired as a heavy machinery operator.

Orville was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting and shooting. Above all, he enjoyed being with his family.

Orville leaves behind his wife, Joyce Sewell Dickerson, whom he married on February 28, 1987; along with his daughters, Annette (Zachary) Shiring of Canton, and Amanda Bridgman of New Philadelphia; and his granddaughters, Ava and Margarette.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory of Dover on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 5-7 pm. Father Jeff Conning will conduct a vigil service at 5pm.
