Otis Potts, 77, of New Philadelphia died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Barberton Citizens Hospital.
He retired from Accurate Steel in Chicago after more than 20 years of service.
Born February 2, 1929 in Center, Tennessee he was a son of the late Henry and Fannie Mae Robinson Potts.
Otis loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He was also a good “handy man” who was always looking to fix things around the house.
Otis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vera York Potts who he married on January 18, 1953.
He is also survived by a daughter, Linda Bublycz of New Philadelphia; brother, Raymond (Ruthann) Potts of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Trisha Potts and Jennifer Bublycz.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cotis and Wayman Potts; two sisters, Ruby and Josephine Potts.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Captain George Bates officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
