Patricia A. Schweitzer

Patricia A. “Patsy” Schweitzer, 78, of Dover, died Friday, March 17, 2006 in the Hennis Care Centre, Dover.

She was born January 30, 1928 at Dover, and was the daughter of the late Carl J. & Maxine K. McCarthy Lieser.

Patsy was a loving, generous woman who was seemingly always looking to help others. She found enjoyment in making a variety of crafts in addition to sewing and crocheting. She had most recently attended Barrs Mill Church of God, but over the years she had always been active with the Salvation Army, where she was a longtime volunteer with the Home League and Silver Teas.

Her husband, James W. Schweitzer, Sr., preceded her in death, passing away on May 28, 1982.

Surviving family members include: a daughter, Sharon (Mike) Korns of Dover; two sons, James “Hip” (Gail) Schweitzer, Jr. of Canton and Dennis (Kathy) Schweitzer of Dover; five grandchildren, Joe Schweitzer, Denise Byham, Mike Flanagan, Ed Korns and Mike Korns, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Zach, Nicole, Kayla, Brock and Luke; a brother Bill (Gloria) Lieser of Dover; and two sisters, Marlene Campbell of Bolivar and Sandra Dallachesia of Sugarcreek.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patsy was preceded in death by: two sisters, Peggy Lieser and Mary K. Schaar; and a brother, John C. Lieser.

A service celebrating Patsy�(TM)s life will be held Wednesday, March 22, at 11:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover with Captain Bob Sears officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.

Friends may call in the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m.
