Patricia Jayne Denning

Patricia Jayne (Parker) Denning, 72, of Dover, Ohio died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 21, 2006 in Union Hospital at Dover.

Born June 18, 1934 in Gilmore, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Homer “Bunt” and Neva Butterfield Parker.

She retired in 1996 from the Dover City Schools where she worked for over 26 years.

She graduated in 1952 as Valedictorian of her class at Port Washington High School. She was a lifetime member of the West Union Methodist Church in Gilmore. She was loved by everyone who knew her and enjoyed children and animals.

She married the “love of her life”, Clifford D. Denning on May 8, 1953. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, John F. McMillen and a brother, James Parker.

Patricia is survived by three daughters, Pamela S. (John) Levengood, Paula A. (Tom) Lorenz, and Glenda L. (Randy) West all of Dover and a son, John William (Lillian) Denning of Rootstown, Ohio; grandchildren, Travis (Traci) Smith, Sarah Levengood, Leah (Michael) Cicarella, Alanna Jenkins, Parker West, Seth West, Sam Lorenz, Carson Denning, Jillian Denning and John C. Denning; great grandchildren, Parker West II, Riley Watts, Gabriella Smith and Madison Campbell.

A funeral service celebrating Patricia�(TM)s life will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 12:00pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with her son in law, Elder John Levengood officiating. Interment will be in the West Union Cemetery at Gilmore. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and on Saturday from 11am to the time of service.
