Patrick H. "Pat" Ervin

Patrick H. "Pat" Ervin, 62, of New Philadelphia passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness.



Born on September 9, 1954 in Tiffin, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Joan (Kaple) Ervin. He was also preceded in death by his father in law, Earl Ott.



Pat graduated from New Philadelphia High School with the Class of 1973. On April 12, 1975 he married the love of his life, Roxanne Ott. He worked at Atlas Energy for over 30 years where he was a general manager.



He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover. Pat was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered for being selfless, loving, and always willing to give a helping hand when needed. He adored his family and friends. He was a very talented guitar player. He loved classic cars and enjoyed collecting rare guitars and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.



He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Roxanne; two sons, Steven (Crystal) Ervin of New Philadelphia, Christopher Ervin of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Matt Dickey, Katie Dickey, Colin Ervin, Brielee Ervin; his brother, Michael (Linda) Ervin of Palm Springs, California; two brothers in law, Greg Ott of Dover, and Al (Kay) Ott of Dover; along with his mother in law, Ruth Ott of New Philadelphia.



Calling hours will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 5-7pm. A private funeral service for his family will be held at a later date.
