Paul E. Flickinger, 80, of Dover died Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the Community Hospice House.
Born June 19, 1935 in Strasburg he was the son of the late Earl A. "Pete" and Gladys Snyder Flickinger.
Paul retired in 1988 as an Electrician from Joy Manufacturing after 33 years of service, and was the owner and operator of Flickinger Electric.
He was a member of Jerusalem Church in New Philadelphia, the Men's Brotherhood and also served as a Deacon. Paul and Della enjoyed camping and square dancing and were members of the Tusco Travelers, Roadrunners, Good Sam Club and the Star Promenaders Square Dancing Club.
A wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather, Paul will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Della Mathias Flickinger whom he married on February 3, 1957; daughters, Nancy Darrah of Canton, Brenda (Kevin) Kubiak of Willoughby, Karen (Michael) Marlowe of New Philadelphia; sister, Elnora (Richard) Fuhrer of Strasburg and seven grandchildren, Elizabeth and Gabrielle Darrah, Kelly and Lisa Kubiak, Hannah (Johnny) Incarnato, Abraham and Daniel Marlowe.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27 at 11:00 am in the Jerusalem Church with Pastor Duane Houser officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
