Paul L. Jones

Paul L. Jones, 20, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 3, 2007.

Paul was born on July 22, 1986 in Dover, and was a son of Floyd and Dennetta Shonk Jones Jr. of New Philadelphia. He attended Tuscarawas Valley High School and was presently studying for his General Educational Development tests. Paul had been employed by Galion Truck Bodies in Winesburg, and Skate Place in New Philadelphia. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in New Philadelphia.

Paul was an active young man who had a keen interest in automobiles; he enjoyed four wheeling, and participated in demolition derbies at the Tuscarawas County Fair. He had assembled model cars since he was a young boy. In addition to his automotive endeavors, Paul enjoyed bike-riding, roller-skating, water-skiing, fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Cameron and Keegan Jones, both of New Philadelphia; his maternal grandparents, Dwaine Shonk of Uhrichsville and Dixie (husband, Gene) Krupka of New Philadelphia; paternal grandfather, Floyd Jones Sr. also of New Philadelphia; paternal great-grandmother, Mabel McConnell of Roswell; and a niece, Riley Jones.

His paternal grandmother, Mary Belle Jones, preceded Paul in death.

Paul�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Monday, Apr. 7, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the First Assembly of God, 742 Cookson Ave. S.E., New Philadelphia, with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia. Following the committal, there will be a meal at the church.
