Paul T. Harmon, 89, of Dover, died Monday, May 21, 2012, in his home.
He was born, October 1, 1922 at Dover, the son of the late John & Cora Blind Harmon.
Paul retired in 1983 from Shenango after 41 years of service and had also owned and operated the former Dover Burial Vault Company.
He was a longtime, devoted member of St. John's United Church of Christ at Dover. He loved to stay busy and enjoyed woodworking, rabbit hunting and fishing. Over the years he also became fond of antique collecting as well.
On Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 1942 70 years ago, he wed the love of his life, Audrey Beitzel Harmon, who survives.
Other surviving family members include: a son, Tom (Cindy) Harmon of Dover; a sister, Doris Polka of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Beth Ann (Joe) Coyle of North Carolina, Jon T. (Dianna) Harmon of New Philadelphia, James T. (Heather) Harmon of Copley, and Joel T. (Mel) Harmon of Dennison; and two great grandchildren, A.J. Harmon and Annie Coyle.
Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Ann Harmon, brother, Linus Harmon and an infant brother.
Rev. Gene Krauss will officiate a funeral service celebrating Paul's life on Thursday, May 24, at 10:00 a.m. in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory Dover. Interment will follow in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home one-hour prior to services.
