Paul T. Miller, 93, of Dover died Sunday evening, Jan. 15, 2017 in Park Village Health Care Center following a brief illness.
Paul was an electrician and retired from the Reeves Steel Company at Dover. He also previously worked for General Electric in Dover. He was a newspaper carrier for many years for the Times Reporter.
Born June 17, 1923 in Trail, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lester H. and Bertha (Troyer) Miller. After graduating from Walnut Creek High School, Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II under Admiral Chester W. Nimitz during the Battle of Midway. During his earlier years, he operated the projector at both the former Bexley Theater and the Quaker Theater and worked at the local roller skating rinks. He also was a Ham Operator and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
He will be sadly missed by his family that includes his four children, Debbie Lones of Walnut Creek, Chris (Jim) Owens of Dover, Jeff (Tina) Miller of Westerville and Tom (Suzette) Miller of Walnut Creek; eight grandchildren, Mike and Jason Owens, Ashley, Anina, Jeffrey Miller and Brianna, Ethan and Mikkail Miller; three great grandchildren, A.J., Katelyn, and Kali along with a brother, Jay Miller of Millersburg.
Paul was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie and a brother, Irvin.
