Paul W. Maxhimer Sr., 77, of Corning, formerly of Mineral City, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, in his home.
Born May 9, 1927, in Navarre, he was a son of the late Robert and Ethel Roland Maxhiemer. Paul served in the United States Army, and was employed as an automobile mechanic, welder and foundryman. He loved to fish and work word puzzles.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Logsdon of Cuyahoga Falls, and Linda (Eddie Miller) Copeland of Springfield; three sons, Paul (Cheryl Maher) Maxhimer , Tim (Brenda) Maxhimer and Wayne E. Maxhimer Sr., all of Corning; eighteen grandchildren, Wil, Rhonda, Tonya, Rena, Jim, Michelle, Carole Ann, T.J., Davey, Tina, Tim Jr., Terry, Wayne Jr., Kathy, Jimmy, Ernest Jr., Candy and Roy; twenty-one great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Maxhimer; brothers and sisters; four grandsons, Gary Maxhimer, Billy Maxhimer, John Goudy and John Snodgrass.
Paul�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, with Mr. Chuck Hopkins of the East Sparta Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in German Cemetery, Mineral City.
