Mrs. Pauline E. Janik, 82, resident of Park Village, died Saturday, December 1, 2001 after an extended illness.
She was born in Roswell to the late Guido & Rose Fondriest Recla.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Dover, and was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School.
Her employment included the Graff Company, Marsh Wall Products, and Weaver Truck Trailer in Tuscarawas County, and Prescott Merrill Turbin in Cleveland. During her working career she was President of the Dover/New Philadelphia Business Professional Womens Club.
Surviving are: her step-children; Judith and her husband Mark Groboske of Elk Grove, California, and Terrance and Linda Janik of Elyria, and five grandchildren, two sisters and one brother; Mrs. Mary Van Lehn and Della Taylor of Dover, and Norman Recla of Livonia, Michigan.
Her husband, Steven M. Janik died in 1993. Two brothers and a sister are also deceased.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 4, from 3-5 & 7-9pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with a Christian Wake service at 7:30. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday December 5 at 10:30am in St. Joseph's church. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
