Pauline M. Shaffer, 86, of Dover, Ohio died Monday evening, December 20, 2010 in Park Village at Dover following a period of declining health.
Pauline was born May 7, 1924 in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leander and Nora (Flannery) Moore.
She was a member of the First Moravian Church at Dover and a graduate of Wellsville High School. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and her family was most important in her life.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Harold Martin who died February 25, 1963 and her second husband, Charles C. "Shine" Shaffer who passed December 26, 1997. She was also preceded by two sisters, Sally Rawling and Esther Wilson and a brother, Clyde Moore.
Pauline will be sadly missed by her two children, James (wife, Carol) Martin and Jackie (husband, Richard "Bo" Perkowski both of Dover; two grandsons, Christian and Corey Perkowski both of Dover; a sister, Martha (husband, Floyd) Andrews of Wellsville and a brother, Charles (wife, Nancy) Moore of East Liverpool along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Pauline's life will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 1pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11am-1pm.
