Pauline “Polly” Rippel, 76, of Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.
She was a retired office employee of the former Reeves Steel Company in Dover.
Born June 20, 1926 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Howard V. and Villa Pearch Rippel.
Polly was a member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover. She was a graduate of Dover High School and was a member of the Mu Chapter of the Alpha Pi Sorority and the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed bowling, reading, crafts, and playing cards.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Rippel of Dover; two brothers, Howard (Ruth) Rippel of Canton and Richard (Clare Ann) Rippel of Wichita, Kansas; a brother in law, Victor Baker of Navarre along with 11 nieces and nephews, 26 great nieces and nephews, 7 great great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Baker and a great nephew, Scott Dimmerling.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 to 11 am.
