Peter P. "Pete" Angelo, 82, a longtime Strasburg resident died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia following a brief illness.

Pete retired in 1986 as Elementary Principal at the Strasburg Franklin Schools. He was an educator for 30 years and had previously taught school for one year in Beach City before his distinguished career in Strasburg. Pete had also previously coached both football and baseball. Following his retirement, he was the announcer for the Strasburg Tiger football team. In his early years, Pete worked for the Norfolk and Western Railroad.
