Pleasant V. Welsch

Pleasant V. Welsch, 90 a resident at Park Village Health Care Center died Thursday, August 19, 1999 at the center following a brief illness.

She was a cook at Union Hospital for many years.

Born October 23, 1908 in Strasburg she was a daughter of the late C.F. and Nettie VanNorstran Deibel.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Loyalty Bible Class, Blue Star Mothers, Missionary Society and taught Sunday School for many years.

Pleasant was preceded in death by her husband Paul Welsch who died on October 27, 1970.  

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Melda and Dwight McAnulty of Canton; son and daughter -in-law, Karl and Nancy Welsch of Michigan; a sister, Audrey Sigrist of Wooster; step sister, Edith Sharp of Dover; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.  

In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by two sisters, six brothers, one step sister, two step brothers and one great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 23, 1999 at 10:30 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Don Pentz officiating.  Interment will be at the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-9 pm.
