R. Miriam Doney

R. Miriam Doney, 90, of Massillon, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000 in the Rose Lane Health Care Center at Massillon following a brief illness.

She was retired from the MCA Sign Company at Massillon after 18 years of service.

Born December 27, 1909 at New Bedford, Ohio, she was daughter of the late Phillip J. & Ida Catherine Bickel Fett.

Miriam had been a member of the Christ United Methodist Church at Massillon for over 60 years, and was also a member of the Jolly 60's club of Canton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ora Doney, who passed away on January 14, 1973.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Yvonne Storer of Massillon
Son, Kenneth & Jeanne Doney of Cascade, Virginia
7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren
many nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents and husband, Miriam was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carol Jean.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 16 at 6:00pm in Christ United Methodist Church at Massillon with Rev. F. Dean Donaldson officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church of Massillon.
