Rae Ann Squires, 68, of Strasburg died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in the Community Hospice House.

Born April 11, 1946 in Dennison she was a daughter of the late Bob and Madge Grimm VonKaenel. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandy Squires.

She had been a waitress at Dover Station for many years and was also a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg.

Rae Ann will be sadly missed by her sons, Chad (Nikki) Squires of Massillon and Charles "Boomer" Squires and companion Nicole Thompson of New Philadelphia; brothers, Gary (Barb) Phillips of New Philadelphia, Bobby (Beth) VonKaenel of Dover and Paul (Mindy) VonKaenel of Strasburg; sister, Janet VonKaenel and her husband Max Ellis of Colorado and three grandchildren, Joshua, Brendan and Catelyn Squires.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at 10:00 am in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg with Pastor Jim Lawrence officiating.
