Raymond F. Rothacher

Raymond F. Rothacher, 70, of New Philadelphia died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at his home following a brief illness.

He retired in 1998 from MB Operating Co. in Waynesburg after 25 years of service.

Born March 20, 1936 in Dover he was a son of the late Hubert and Florence Schumaker Rothacher.

A great husband, father and grandfather, Raymond enjoyed working in his yard, playing cards and was an avid knife collector.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Lucille Brinkman Rothacher with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage on May 22, 2006.

He is also survived by four daughters, Marjorie Rothacher of New Philadelphia, Sherie (Brad) Quillin of New Philadelphia, Jody (Mike) Lineberry of New Philadelphia and Pam (Tom) Crilley of Mineral City; son, Tim (Sandy) Rothacher of Hartville; brother, Glen (Maxine) Rothacher of Dover; brother in law, Vaughn Ley of Dover; granddaughters, Jamie and Stacey Quillin, Katie Rothacher and Emily Crilley; grandson, Tommy Crilley. He was also a “special” grandfather to Jessica Harmon.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Rothacher and a sister, Mary Jane Ley.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 1:30 pm in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover with Pastor Jon Johnson officiating. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory in Dover are handling arrangements.
