Rebecca J. Ward

Rebecca J. Ward, 88, of Dover died Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the Country Club Retirement Center.

Born October 22, 1926 in South Webster, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Allan and Sarah Waggoner Morris. Rebecca was also preceded in death by her husband, Merle D. Ward Sr. They were married on December 8, 1943 and celebrated 40 years of marriage until his passing on January 1, 1984; three sons, Floyd, Larry and Rodney Ward; seven brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of the Senior Citizens and was an avid bingo player.

Rebecca is survived by her children, Merle (Linda) Ward of Strasburg, Glenda (Jerry) Fostor of Fresno, Betty (Gary) Whiteman of Virginia; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; sister, Mary (Bill) Hiesler of Hopedale.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
