Rebecca S. Smith

Rebecca S. Smith, 79, of Dover, passed away in Dover, Ohio, on Friday, March 8, 2024,  leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication. 

Born in Zanesville, Ohio, on July 7th, 1944.  She was the daughter of the late Donald and Elsie (Ankrum) McGrath.  Becky was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Stephen Smith.  

She was a technician at the Medicine Shop in New Philadelphia, where she devoted nine years of service before retiring in 1995. 

Beyond her career, Becky found joy and fulfillment in crafting. Her creative spirit shone through in everything she made, leaving lasting memories for those fortunate enough to receive her handcrafted treasures.

She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Nicholas "Nick" Smith, whom she married on November 10, 1962.  She will also be sadly missed by her children; Jeffrey (Kim) Smith of Dover, and Kelly (Jason) Brown of Dover; along with her four grandchildren, Kassidy (Rob) Sheeks, Shay Smith (Alisha Haythorn), Troy (Tess) Smith, and Maxwell Brown; along with her great-granddaughter, Emerson Sheeks.
