Renee E. Smart

Renee E. Smart, 44, a 25-year resident of Sherrodsville, died Friday, March 4, 2005 following an unexpected illness.

Born May 6, 1960 at Massillon, she was the daughter of Ken & Janet Wallick Murphy of Dover.

A 1978 graduate of Dover High, Renee grew up a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ at Dover. She had most recently called the Sherrodsville Wesleyan Church her home church and was in the process of becoming a member.

Renee loved gardening and caring for animals, but most of all, Renee enjoyed helping others and was well known for her caring heart.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 24 years, Randy L. Smart, who survives.

Other survivors include: the apples of her eye �" her two children, Christian Anthony Smart and Anthony Lee Michael Smart both of the home; her father-in-law, Gene Smart of Strasburg; best friend, Sharon Smith of Alliance; a special cousin Barbara Stull of Dover and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, Fred & Esther Murphy; maternal grandparents, Buss & Berniece Wallick; and her mother-in-law, Angeline Smart.

A ceremony celebrating Renee�(TM)s life will be held Tuesday, March 8, at 10:30 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover with Pastors David A. Paul & Jack Stull officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Following the burial, friends and family will be received at a reception in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.

Friends may call in the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
