Reuben A. Snellenberger, 83, formerly of Dover (Parral), Ohio died Monday, October 28, 2002 at Hearthstone Assisted Living in Lorain, Ohio following an extended illness.
He was an electrician at the Greer Steel Company in Dover until his retirement in 1982.
Born November 23, 1918 in Baltic, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Mary Snellenberger.
He was a World War II US Army veteran. He was an avid fisherman and was a “Rock Hound” having enjoyed collecting rocks and gems.
Reuben was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Deibel Snellenberger who died April 3, 1994.
He is survived by two daughters Janet (Gregory) Rush of Amherst, Ohio and Dawn Hunter of Pensacola, Florida.
One son Donis (Gwen) Snellenberger of The Woodlands, Texas
Three grandchildren Jay (Misty) Hunter and Dana Hunter all of Pensacola, Florida and Nathan Snellenberger of The Woodlands, Texas.
One Sister Edith Snellenberger of Columbus
He was preceded in death by a son in law, Jeffrey Hunter and four brothers William, Charles, Walter, and Joseph Snellenberger.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 1, 2002 at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Averill Huffman officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6-8 pm.
