Rev. Gerald Schuessler

Rev. Gerald G. Schuessler passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. He was born on Dec. 22, 1942, in Evansville, Ind. Gerry retired Aug. 28, 2005, after 38 years in the Christian ministry, having served five United Church of Christ congregations including St. John�(TM)s UCC in Dover, and St. John UCC in Strasburg, O.

Gerry was a faithful servant and touched many lives and hearts throughout his life and ministry.

He is survived by: his wife of 41 years, Viann Kuhlenschmidt Schuessler; three loving children; three grandchildren; a brother and a sister.

Funeral services were held December 29, 2005 in Evansville.

A local ceremony that celebrates Gerry�(TM)s life and honors his Christian service will be held Saturday, January 28 at 6pm in the St. John United Church of Christ, Strasburg. Following the service, there will be a memorial gathering in the church fellowship hall.
