Richard H. Moger

July 15, 1931 — August 28, 2006

Richard H. “Dick” Moger, of Riverside Manor Nursing Home,
Newcomerstown, died there Monday, August 28, 2006, following a
lengthy illness. Born July 15, 1931, in Greenwich, CT, he was a son of
the late Harry and Helene Brundage Moger. Dick attended high school in
Springdale, CT, and went on to receive his Bachelor�(TM)s Degree in
Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1959.

Dick served honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean
Conflict. While in the service of his country, he received the National
Defense Medal for Good Conduct.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ashland, where he also served
as chairman of the Deacons Board. Additionally, Dick was a member of the
American Legion.

He was married for 27 years to Susan C. Darby Moger, and is survived by
five children, Cheryl A. (husband, John) Russell of Charlotte, NC;
Keith W. (wife, Shannon) Moger of Dover, DE; Jeanne M. (husband
Joe)Kitchens of Dry Ridge, KY; Richard P. (wife, Melissa) of Ashland, OH;
and Karen E.(husband Jack) Troiani of New Castle, DE; nineteen
grandchildren; two brothers, Warren and Wayne Moger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Harry I.
Moger, Jr., and a sister, Shirley Pullin.

At his request, Dick will be provided a Navy burial and his ashes scattered
at sea. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 210
Davis Rd. in Ashland on Friday, September 1, at 6 pm. Arrangements are
in the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, New
