Richard J. "Dick" Baumgardner

Richard J. “Dick” Baumgardner, 74, of Dover passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Canton on August 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Robert and Marjorie (Ewing) Baumgardner. He was also preceded in death by his brother; William Baumgardner; mother and father in-laws, Rolland and Irene Myers; brother in-law, Ward Myers; and sister in-law, Alice Baumgardner.

Dick loved sports and enjoyed following the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Yankees, and the Los Angeles Lakers. He also loved all genres of music, camping, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

On April 14, 1973, he married Vicki Myers, who survives. He also leaves behind his daughter; Lisa (Chuck) McKinney of Dover; his son, David O. (Billie) Baumgardner of Strasburg; grandchildren; Katelynn (Jordan) Mohn, Brittany Vanasse, Charlie (Tiana) McKinney, Ryan McKinney (Lauren Smitley); great-grandchildren, Lilianna, Rosalee, Ivy and Attica; two brothers, Robert Baumgardner, and James (Lauren) Baumgardner; his sister, Judy (Ralph) Cercone; sister in-laws, Cheryl Baumgardner, Pat Myers, Sherry (Dave) Zimmerman; brother in-laws, Terry (Linda) Myers, and Kent (Ann) Myers; his grand-dog’s, Benji and Gracie; along with several nieces and nephews.
