Richard Keith Anslow

Richard Keith Anslow, age 73, of Four States, West Virginia, and formerly of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in his home, following a sudden illness.

Born January 9, 1941, in New Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Lula Belle (Agin) Anslow. Keith, as he was often called, attended school in Roswell and was employed by the Marsh Lumber Co., Dover, from which he retired after thirty years of service. Keith enjoyed fishing and loved being with his family (especially his grandchildren) and friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Mary (companion, Travis Barker) Mansfield of New Philadelphia, and Melinda (husband, Howard) Heck of Four States; his grandchildren, Diamond and Autumn Mansfield, R.J., J.J., and C.J. Ritenour and Keith Heck; his sister, Carol Stull of Freeport; his brother, John Anslow of New Philadelphia; his sisters-in-law, Patty Anslow of New Philadelphia , and Evelyn Anslow of Strasburg; his best friend, Todd Hupp; his many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Suzie.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his beloved wife of forty-five years, Barbara (Mann) Anslow, on June 16, 2008; his sisters, Betty Reichman, Gwen Tyler and Mary Arnold; his brothers, Rex, Joe, Larry, Chuck, David and Bill Anslow.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 15, at 4 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, with Pastor Max Canfield of New Philadelphia's First Church of the Brethren officiating. Immediately following the service, a meal will be shared in the Roswell Community Center.
