Richard N. Zeigler, 83, of Dover died Monday, November 2, 2015 at The Inn at Northwood Village.
Born September 25, 1932 in Dover he was a son of the late Nelson and Kathryn Espenschied Zeigler.
Richard retired from Timken Research in North Canton after more than 31 years of service. He was a member of the NRA and proudly served his country with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Richard was an avid outdoors man who loved hunting, especially deer hunting. He was proud of the fact that he was able to take down a 6 point buck after his 80th birthday. Richard also enjoyed going to Wheeling Downs to watch dog and horse races.
A loving father and grandfather, Richard will be sadly missed by his children, Jim (Judy) Zeigler of Stone Creek, Sharon (Doug) Krantz of Alabama and Barb (Jamie) Livengood of Caldwell; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 5 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
