Robert A. Wagner

Robert A. Wagner, 65, of Dover passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2009 following a courageous battle with MS.

Born May 17, 1943 in Alma, MI he was a son of the late Eugene and Myrtle Marzolf Wagner. His son, Todd Wagner, also preceded Robert in death.

He retired in 1995 from Zimmer Patient Care as the Marketing Director after many years of service.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Bob was an avid golfer, as was evident by his being a club pro at Jackson Country Club and the Flint Country Club both in Michigan. When he wasn't on the links, Bob enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren. The one aspect of Bob's life that his family and friends will cherish forever was his sense of humor, even in his final days he was still able to keep everyone laughing.

A loving husband, father and grandfather Bob will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 45 years, Sandy Bourdon Wagner whom he married on June 20, 1964. He is also survived by a son, Chris (Pam) Wagner of Texas; daughter, Ami (Kyle) Love of Upper Arlington; sister, Diane (Wayne) Long of Owosso, Michigan; six grandchildren, Madison, Robert and Lexi Wagner, Morgan, Jacob and Nathan Love.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Following the burial a luncheon will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover on Monday from 5-8 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 8.
