Robert A. Waltz

Robert A. Waltz, 97, of New Philadelphia died Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at Morning View Care Center following a brief illness.

He retired in 1985 as the owner and operator of Bob Waltz Garage with over 50 years of service to his community.

Born May 28, 1905 in New Philadelphia he was a son of the late George and Ella Wallick Waltz.

He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and was an avid sports fan having followed the Browns and Indians for many years. He also enjoyed working in his garden and drawing.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Waneatha Mae Gibson Waltz who died in 1985.

He is survived by a son: Dale (Anita) Waltz of Chesterfield, MO.

Three grandchildren: Matthew, Kyle and Maggie Waltz all of Chesterfield.

He was also preceded in death by a son: Robert O. Waltz

Three brothers: Herbert, Bryan and Ralph Waltz

Infant sister: Laura Waltz

Due to the remolding of our New Philadelphia facilities funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 10:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Mike Walters officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Burial Park. Friends can call at the Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 pm.
