Robert "Bob" Lineberger, age 83, of New Philadelphia, and a former Uhrichsville resident, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, in Schoenbrunn Healthcare.
Born February 2, 1933, in Uhrichsville, he was the son of the late Leo and Alice Redder Lineberger. Bob graduated from Uhrichsville High School and went on to serve honorably with the United States Navy during the Korean War, much of that time aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Richard E. Krause. Following his discharge, he was employed by Marlite in Dover for over thirty years. Bob later worked for the local McDonald's franchises owned by Dana Lewis. He married Bernice L. Mahaffey Baldwin on May 4, 1973; the couple shared thirty-five years together before Bernice's passing on August 1, 2008.
Bob was a member of New Philadelphia's First Christian Church and Carl C. Stoller Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as Uhrichsville's Loyal Order of Moose. In his spare time, Bob liked traveling with Bernice - casino destinations were a favorite - and going dancing.
Survivors include his niece, Cindi A. (Don) Wagstaff of New Philadelphia; his nephew, Roger A. (Karen) Voshall of Parma; his son-in-law, William A. Monte of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Catherine L. Black and Penny R. Stucky, both of New Philadelphia, and Robert A. (Christine) Monte of Frisco, Texas; his great-grandchildren, Anthony R. (Cassandra Craig) Weimer, Alexis B. and Adam Z. Black, Marissa A. and Cody J. Stucky, Lauren G. and Jon W. Monte; and his great-great-grandchildren, Hayden and Caleb Weimer.
