Robert D. "Dud" Andreas

Robert D. “Dud” Andreas, 91, of Dover passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

He was born on June 13, 1931 in Strasburg and was a son of the late Harvey and Minnie Shutt Andreas. Dud was also preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Andreas Baker; siblings, Ruth, Hank and Ed; step son, David Ott; step son in law, Thomas Carlisle; step grandson, Allen Ott and great grandson, Gaven Carlisle.

Dud retired from Meteor Sealing Systems in Dover after 30 years of service. He was a very mechanical and handy person, who could fix just about anything, with his specialty being small engine repair.

Dud is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty Frey Andreas whom he married on December 2, 1977; children, Bill Andreas of Uhrichsville, Jason Andreas of Canton, Matt (Cassondra) Andreas of Millersburg, Amy (Zach) Frink of New Philadelphia, Donna (Bob) Beller, Tammy (Bob) Porter both of Dover; sister, Mildred Houy of Beach City; 26 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There are no services or calling hours.
