Pastor Robert E Jones, Bob, of Dover was called home by Jesus late Sunday night, 1/16/2022 at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital after a battle with Leukemia and covid-19.
Bob was born on October 15th 1942 to the late Harold and Mary (Percy) Jones in Dover, Ohio. He was a retired Pastor of Church of the Living God in New Philadelphia and started the Migori Missions outreach and Church of the Living God in Migori Kenya. He went on many missions trips to Africa, Romania, Armenia, and more; his passion was furthering the Kingdom of God. He loved to travel and went on many trips with close family to Spain, Texas, and all across the country and the world.
He owned many businesses here in Tuscarawas county over the years Rainbow Remodeling, Tuscarawas County Auction, and Bob’s Store on Tuscarawas avenue across from the flea market.
He loved his family, church family, and friends more than anything and would give of himself to help anyone. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mary (Percy) Jones, his brother Harold “Junior” Jones, his sister Mary Rohn, and his infant sister Sarah Jane Jones. He leaves behind a large loving family including his sister Geraldine York and brother-in-law Bob York, his oldest daughter Desirrae Spinell and her family Bliss Miller (granddaughter), Cory Spinell (grandson), and Tina Elder (great-granddaughter), his youngest daughter Jacqueline Garner and her family Clayton Garner (son-in-law), Haley Garner (granddaughter), Luis “Hector” Ramirez (grandson Haley's beau), Mary Seevers (the mother of his youngest daughter and his best friend) and many nephews, nieces, family members, church family members and friends around the globe.
Services will be held online Friday January 21st 2022 at Noon Eastern, 11am Central, 6pm Spain, and 8pm Africa time, provided by Hope Christian Community Church. Links to the live stream service and post-service recordings will be available at www.migorimissions.org/PastorBobJones
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor, to the Migori Missions outreach that he founded by visiting the site above.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him dearly, but we will see him again some glorious day if we just follow Jesus to our home and final destination in the paradise of Heaven.
