Robert E. ''Bob'' Steffe, 81, of Strasburg died Sunday, August 6, 2000 at his home following an extended illness.
He retired in 1978 from Norfolk Western Railroad.
Born September 1, 1918 in Dundee, he was a son of the late Norman B. and Clara C. Dietz Steffe.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bolivar and the Brotherhood of Railroad Maintenance Workers. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and was also a member of the Dover VFW, Strasburg American Legion and the Bolivar American Legion.
Bob is survived by his wife Frances Margo Steffe with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage on June 9, 2000.
He is also survived by a son: Norman and Dana Steffe of Strasburg.
Two sisters: Evelyn Steffe of Canton
Clesta Steffe of Hayward, California
Two grandchildren: Daniel and Courtney Yoder
He was also preceded in death by a brother: Brian Steffe.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2000 at 2:00 pm at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bolivar with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Burial will be at the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Strasburg where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Strasburg on
