Robert F. Anderegg

Robert F. Anderegg, 99, of Strasburg died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Park Village Health Care Center.

Bob had retired from Eaton Manufacturing in Massillon after 30 years of service. In addition to his employment at Eaton he had also worked at Nickels Bakery and farmed for many years.

Born December 6, 1909 in Stone Creek he was a son of the late Peter and Alice Wittwer Anderegg. Bob was also preceded in death by his wife of almost 70 years, Ethel Anderegg who died on May 13, 2006; daughter, Nancy Anderegg; and his sisters, Marjorie Rice, Laura Kohr and Edith Lenhart.

He was a long time, and faithful member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg where he had served on church council and sang in the choir for many years. Bob and Ethel loved the outdoors and were members of the Tusco Traveleers. When Bob wasn't working he enjoyed gardening, woodworking and silversmithing.

A wonderful father and grandfather, Bob will be sadly missed by his daughter, Alice (husband, David) Keppler of Strasburg; grandchildren, Carrie Preston, Vickie Breckenridge, Jabie Keppler and Robert Keppler; seven great grandchildren; one step great grandchild and one great great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 11:00 am in the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg with Pastor Steve Woyen officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Strasburg on Friday from 6-8 pm.
