Robert F. "Bob" Bair

Robert F. “Bob” Bair, age 78, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Community Hospice Truman House, New Philadelphia, from complications following a stroke.

Born August 21, 1943, in Dover, he was a son of the late Albert and Margaret Tomer Bair. Bob graduated from Dover High School in 1962, went on to attend Columbus Business School, and serve in the United States Army National Guard. He owned and operated Buckeye Insulation, A & W Products, Bair’s Drive-Thru, Alpa Bowling Center, and Bob & Sue Enterprises, all in Tuscarawas County. When not at work, Bob’s favorite pastime was boating at Tappan and Atwood Lakes.

He is survived by his sons, Robert (Susan) Bair and Jason Bair; his former wife, Susan Gerber Bair; his grandchildren, Brittany (Mitchell) Hattery and Madison Bair, and Justin, Jason Jr., Julia and Jaelynn Bair; his great-grandson, Hunter Hattery; his sister, Mary (John) Schaar; and his many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Bair.

Honoring Bob’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private committal service will be held.
