Beloved Robert J. “Pops” Wright of Dover passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Union Hospital.
Born September 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert L. & Anna B. Wright.
Bob retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service, including service in the Vietnam War. Upon retirement he returned to Dover raise his family and was employed at I.F. Manufacturing, Inca and Nickles Bakery. He was also a member of the Army-Navy, Moose and VFW clubs of Dover.
He is lovingly survived by his former wife, Iris (Inglis) Wright and their three children: Robert (Kathy) Wright of Strasburg, Debbie (John) Fondriest of Dover and George (Cheryl) Wright of Dover, as well as six grandchildren to whom he was deeply devoted.
He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters: Margaret (Bill) Arbogast of Dover, Mary (Chuck) Aubihl of Newcomerstown, Billy (Elaine) Wright of Fort Myers, FL, Dean (Bonnie) Wright of New Philadelphia and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The love of his life was spending time with his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed.
Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Friday, August 23 from 7-9pm. A public, military graveside service will be held on Monday, August 26 at 11:00am in the Dover Burial Park.
