Robert J. Rentsch

Robert J. Rentsch, 80, of Dover died Tuesday, October 24, 2000 at his residence following a sudden illness.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

Born November 4, 1919 in Franklin Twp., Tuscarawas County, Ohio he was a son of the late Russell and Emma Johnson Rentsch.

He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg and was an Army Air Corp. Veteran of WW II.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Beulah ''Snookie'' Hostetler Rentsch who died on October 3, 1988.

He is survived by a son: Larry and Elizabeth Rentsch of Strasburg

Daughter: Sally and Gail Mizer of Rocky Face, Georgia

Four sisters: Betty Brugger of Strasburg
Bernice and Wilbur Hall of Strasburg
Norma and Robert Freitag of Strasburg
Clara and Jim Clark of Denver, Colorado

Two brothers: Russell B. and Helen Rentsch of Norfolk, Virginia
Richard and Beverly Rentsch of Strasburg

Five grandchildren: Tanya Garber Cory Mizer
Bruce Rentsch Amy McFerrin
Robert Rentsch

Three great grandchildren: Lisa Garber, Amanda Rentsch and Nolan Rentsch

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2000 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Ron Hall officiating. Interment will be at Dundee Cemetery where military graveside services will be held. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Friday from 7-9 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
