Robert L. "Bob" Lang Jr.

Robert L. "Bob" Lang, Jr., 63, a life-long resident of Tuscarawas County, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Union Hospital, ending a year and a half long battle with cancer.

Bob was a loving husband and father, and his family was his pride and joy. He is survived by Sue Endres Lang, his wife of 40 years; daughter, Melissa Lang of Chicago; sister, Linda (Joe) Semon of Dover; brother, Denny Lang of Strasburg; brothers in law, Richard and Ted Endres of Dover and Tom Endres of New Philadelphia; sisters in law, Carole (Tony) Cenci of Dover and Chris (Don) Levy of Louisville, OH; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Lang Sr. and Ruth Bevan Lang; sister, Diana Lorenz; his father and mother in law, Eugene and Jane Endres; and brother in law, Fred Endres.

Bob was a 1965 graduate of Garaway High School, and took classes at Kent State University, Tuscarawas Campus to master the writing of computer programs something that became a lifelong passion. He went on to work at W.E. Quicksall, taking great pride in his work, and retired from his Designer position in 2006, after serving the company for 41 years.

Bob was a member of the Tuscarawas County Coin Club and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie, hunting, and searching for rare coins. He loved summers in Ohio when he could BBQ and take care of his lawn, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15 at 5:00 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Brian Flood officiating.
