Robert L. Hollingbaugh

March 10, 1920 — December 3, 2003

Robert Hollingbaugh of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Dover/New Philadelphia, passed away at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital from heart failure and respiratory complications.



He was born in Dover on March 10, 1920 and will be laid to rest on March 10, 2004.



His parents, who preceded him in death, are Roy Hollingbaugh and Marie Hollingbaugh Clay. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Tina of Jacksonville, Fla., and a sister, Mary Lou Lahmers of Dover. Two brothers, Harold and Edward, are both deceased. He also has a stepbrother Tom (Ruth) Clay and a stepsister Dorothy May.



Bob served in the Army in World War II in the Pacific Theater from 1945 to 1947. He had been employed as a salesman with Eiler TV and Appliance and prior to that was a mechanic and operated his garage and filling station on 4th St., New Philadelphia.



Bob was the owner of a stock car named “7UP” and raced at the Midvale racetrack. He was an avid model airplane builder and flew them in competition.



Pastor Allen Bergmann of First Moravian Church will hold a private graveside service at Dover Burial Park. There will be no calling hours.
