Robert L. Spring, 76, of Marco Island, Florida and formerly of New Philadelphia and Dover died peacefully in his home Thursday, March 28, 2002 following a brief illness.
He formerly owned and operated a construction company in Tuscarawas County.
Born January 15, 1926 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, he was the son of the late Edgar and Ina Mathias Spring.
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Sue Wendling Spring.
He is survived by two daughters Jacquelyn S. Spring of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Jill (David) Barlock of Naples, Florida.
Five grandchildren Dr. Jason Barlock of Orlando, Florida, Ainsley Spring TeGrotenhuis of Washington, DC., Justin D. TeGrotenhuis of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Angela and Jeremy Barlock both of Naples.
Three sisters Mary Louise (Warner) Gowins of New Philadelphia, Eleanore Rhoades of Wooster and Martha Simms of Tallmadge.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Larry Spring.
Private graveside services will be held Monday in the Dover Burial Park with his son in law, Rev. David Barlock of Christian Life Mission officiating. There are no calling hours.
