Robert M. Standiford

Robert M. Standiford, 66, of Dover died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his home.

Born March 25, 1946 in Uhrichsville he was a son of the late Thomas and Nina Palmer Standiford and was also preceded in death by his sisters, Delores and Marilyn.

Robert worked as a truck mechanic at several different places including Bill Hawk and McKnight Trucks. He had also been a Deputy Sheriff for Tuscarawas County. Robert was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing all over the United States. He served his country during the Vietnam War with the Army Green Berets.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Michelle Standiford of New Philadelphia and Marsha (Brian) Whitlach of Mineral City; brothers, Dick (Jackie) Standiford of Sherrodsville and Larry (Patty) Standiford of Uhrichsville; sister, Nina (Jim) Abner of Cincinnati; six grandchildren, Makayla and Steven Simpson, Kaelli, Sara, Olivia and Keegan Whitlach and special friend, Carol Lambaugh.
