Robert N. Crow

Robert N. "Bob" Crow, 55 of Strasburg passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, April 4, 2013.

Bob was born on March 24, 1958 in Canton, Ohio to the late Elmer and Doris Crow. He was lovingly raised by the late Jack Hawkins and Marjorie Freitag-Smith. He is also preceded in death by his father in-law, Harvey Thomas.

He was a 1976 graduate of Tusky Valley High School. On August 7, 1982, he married the love of his life, Jean Thomas, who survives. He worked for over 20 years in the circulation department for The Canton Repository.

Bob was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, and bird watching. More than anything he loved spending time with his family; especially his daughter, Sarah.

In addition to his wife Jean, he will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sarah Crow of Cuyahoga Falls; sister, Vickie (Vaughn) Garbett of Pittsburgh; mother in-law, Eloise Thomas of Strasburg; sister in-law, Joan (Skip) Litten of Woodville, Ohio; brothers in-law; Paul (Angie) Thomas of Strasburg, and Karl (Lynnea) Thomas of Strasburg; along with many nieces, nephews and half brothers and sisters.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Karen Biggerstaff officiating. Interment will take place Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served in the church social hall. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 2-5 pm.
