Robert R. Haeberle

Robert R. Haeberle, 84, of New Philadelphia died Friday, February 13, 2015 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

Born February 1, 1931 in New Philadelphia he was a son of the late John and Mamie Nign Haeberle. Robert was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Fishel Haeberle on June 8, 2013; sister, Leora Saurer; brother, John Haeberle who was killed in action during WW II and an infant sister, Betty Haeberle.

He retired from the Timken Co. after 32 years of service as a Senior Training Developer and was also an assistant teacher at Stark Technical College. Robert was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday school for 17 years and served on the Property Committee. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with electronics.

Robert is survived by 17 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17 at 11:00 am in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Leland Eilert officiating. Interment will be in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Monday from 5-7 pm.
