Robert Scott Liggett

R. Scott Liggett, 39, of Dover died suddenly Friday, January 14, 2011.

Scott was born July 10, 1971 in Dennison, Ohio.

He formerly worked as a cook at area restaurants.

He was a 1989 graduate of Dover High School. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and loved spending time on his grandparent's farm and playing video games with his son, Noah.

Scott is survived by his mother and stepfather Linda (husband, Gary) Sampsel of Dover and his father, Robert (wife, Marcia) Liggett of Bolivar; his son, Noah of Dover; two halfbrothers, Brian Liggett of Bolivar and Brett (wife, Jami) Liggett of Creston, Ohio; a stepsister, Lori (husband, Jay) Stapp of Indiana; paternal grandparents, Willard and Ruth Liggett of Dennison; maternal grandfather, Paul (wife, Trudy) Newton of North Canton and his former wife, Angie DeLong of Dover along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Norma White.

Private services will be held for the family in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. There are no calling hours.
